Ordering & Adoption
How do I adopt a Water Dog?
Browse our available Water Dogs, choose the one you love, and click "Bring Me Home." Complete checkout, and we handle the rest!
Can I reserve a Water Dog?
Water Dogs are first-come, first-served. Once you complete checkout, your Water Dog is reserved for you. If the fish you love is already adopted, join our waitlist to be notified when new ones arrive.
What's included with my adoption?
Every adoption includes your Water Dog, the complete Care Guide, and our Live Arrival Guarantee.
Shipping
Where do you ship?
Within the continental United States only.
When do you ship?
Monday through Wednesday only, to avoid weekend transit delays. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, and we confirm your availability before shipping.
How are the fish shipped?
Via FedEx Overnight / UPS Next Day Air, in temperature-controlled, oxygen-supplied packaging designed for live aquatic animals. Flat rate: $49.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes! You'll receive a tracking link by email as soon as your shipping label is generated.
Returns & Guarantees
Do you accept returns?
Because we ship live animals, all sales are final. However, every adoption is backed by our Live Arrival Guarantee.
What is the Live Arrival Guarantee?
If your Water Dog does not arrive alive and healthy, record a clear video within 3 hours of the documented delivery time and contact us — we will arrange a replacement or full refund. See our full Policy for details.
Care
What do I need before my Water Dog arrives?
A dedicated quarantine tank (30 gallons recommended), an air pump, a sponge filter, and tap water aged for at least 5 days before arrival. (For routine water changes afterward, your replacement tap water should be aged at least 72 hours / 3 days in advance.) Our Care Guide walks you through the complete setup.
